The Avon Relay for Life also invites all cancer survivors to be celebrated May 11. This survivor lunch is for survivors and one caregiver, registration starts at 11 a.m. There will have a wonderful lunch catered by Boulder Creek, some fun and fabulous desserts, many door prizes, a special guest speaker, and some music by local talent. This birthday party will be a great opportunity to celebrate life with other survivors from the community. After the lunch, survivors are honored with the cancer survivor’s celebration lap and bingo.

The American Cancer Society combines an unyielding passion with nearly a century of experience to save lives and end suffering from cancer. The society saves lives by helping people stay well, by helping people get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back. As the nation’s largest non-governmental investor in cancer research, the society turns what it knows about cancer into what it does. As a result, more than 11 million people in America who have had cancer, and countless more who have avoided it, will be celebrating birthdays this year. To learn more or to get help, call 1-800-227-2345 or visit the website at www.cancer.org.
