Bartlett Chapel welcomes associate pastor

Westside Flyer

---- — Bartlett Chapel United Methodist Church in Avon welcomes Julie Macy, associate pastor of children’s and family ministry, to the church.

Macy brings more than 25 years of experience working with children and a passion for seeing families and children grow in their relationships with God. Her focus as associate pastor will be expanding and supporting Bartlett Chapel’s ministry to children and families in the church.

“I believe that all children should have the opportunity to develop a relationship with God,” Macy said. “Especially in today’s society, families need encouragement to live out their faith, and I believe we can provide that support at Bartlett Chapel UMC.”

Macy previously served at Old Bethel United Methodist Church, Columbia City United Methodist Church, and South Whitley United Methodist Church.

She received a master’s in spiritual formation from Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary in Elkhart and was ordained as a deacon in the United Methodist Church in 2010. She earned a bachelor of arts degree from Valparaiso University.

She spent her formative years in Columbia City, where she married Kevin Macy.

They have three children: Brenden (Natalie) Macy, Karlee Macy, and Carissa Macy. They moved to Plainfield in 2009 for Kevin’s job.

Bartlett Chapel is on old U.S. 36, just west of Hendricks Power Cooperative at 4396 E. Main St., Avon. For more information about Wednesday Night Live or the church, call 745-2504 or visit the websites at www.bartlettchapel.com or www.facebook.com/bartlettchapel.
