Wellbrooke of Avon readies for opening

AVON — Wellbrooke of Avon staff got a firsthand look of what’s to come at their own Health and Wellness Center, now under construction across the street from Indiana University Health West Hospital, as they attended the recent opening of a sister Center in Westfield.

“Participating in the Wellbrooke of Westfield grand opening provided a preview of what we can expect here in Avon,” Brian Lane, general manager of Wellbrooke of Avon, said in a press release. “Wellbrooke of Westfield broke ground about six months prior to Wellbrooke of Avon, and our proximity has allowed us to see personally the process of construction and opening so that we can anticipate what’s coming up for us as the project progresses.”

Wellbrooke of Avon is a $14.4 million development project that will bring up to 100 full-time jobs and up to 300 construction jobs to the area.

The 66,350 square foot center for health and wellness is scheduled to open in mid-September, and hiring is already in full swing with approximately 20 staff members already on board.

The Wellbrooke Centers bring an innovative approach to the design and delivery of health care services for a new generation. The brand new Centers are open in Wabash and Westfield, with additional Centers under construction in Avon, Crawfordsville, Kokomo, and South Bend. Each Center offers 70 private and companion suites for physical, occupational and speech rehabilitation and long-term care as well as 30 service-rich apartments for full-time assisted living.

The handsomely appointed architecture and hotel-like environment is designed to be comfortable and engaging with concierge-style services and amenities such as multiple dining venues with around-the-clock service, movie theater, fitness center, and more.

Each Wellbrooke Center is a joint venture of LCS and Mainstreet, who have engaged Life Care Services to manage the community. Life Care Services has more than 40 years of experience in senior living service and care delivery.
