INDIANAPOLIS — At about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night, officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched to the 3200 block of N. Arsenal Ave. on report that a person had been shot.
When officers arrived, they found an unidentified unresponsive male suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
The victim was transported by EMS crews to IU Health Methodist Hospital in critical condition where he was subsequently pronounced dead. Detectives are working with representatives from the Marion County Coroner’s Office to confirm the identity of the victim and notify next-of-kin.
The Marion County Coroner’s Office will determine an official cause and manner of death after an autopsy, likely, this morning or afternoon.
