The staff at the Plainfield Correctional Facility recently caught a visitor bringing contraband to an inmate.
Chelesa Stewart was arrested Oct. 4 after a member of the staff witnessed her passing items to offender Cameron Steward during a visit. She had a 9-month-old child at the time of the incident.
Stewart was charged with trafficking with an inmate, dealing in a controlled substance, and child endangerment. She was transported to the Hendricks County Jail in Danville.
Steward, who is currently serving a 14-year sentence for dealing in a controlled substance, was placed in segregation pending further investigation.
