A fire broke out in a westside apartment complex at about 4 a.m. Wednesday, displacing about 26 residents.
At least 12 units at Stratford Apartments, near 30th Street and Moller Road, were damaged and one building is on the verge of collapsing.
The Indianapolis Fire Department (IFD) reported that it took about two hours to contain the blaze.
Residents were moved to a nearby clubhouse.
According to the IFD, initial investigation shows that the fire may have started on the upper floor or roof and the cause of the fire is accidental.
IFD estimates the damage cost at about $250,000.
