Written by Jeffrey Lane, with music and lyrics by David Yazbek, the Tony Award-nominated musical is based on the popular 1988 film of the same name starring Michael Caine and Steve Martin. "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" centers on two con men working on the French Riviera in the small village of Beaumont set Mer. One, Lawrence Jameson, is suave and sophisticated, and the other, Freddy Benson, is a small time crook. The two unsuccessfully attempt to work together only to find that the village isn't big enough for the two of them.
Director Dan Scharbrough's cast includes Stuart Mill as Lawrence, Justin Klein as Freddy, Tom Beeler as Andre Thibault, Betsy Norton as Christine Colgate, Robyne Ault as Muriel, and Noelle Steele as Jolene.
Scharbrough's production staff includes Marianne Malcomson, producer; Linda Rees, choreographer; Angela Mickles, musical director; Jeff Farley, costume designer; and Judy Smith, stage manager.
