Hendricks County Senior Services hosts its monthly Parkinson’s Support Group on the second Tuesday of each month at the senior center.
The next meeting is 4:30 p.m. Nov. 12. The support group is open to anyone who has Parkinson’s or who is caring for someone with Parkinson’s disease. Meetings are confidential and free of charge.
Meetings are generally at 10:30 a.m., but this month’s has been pushed back.
Dr. Christopher Wilson, a local neurologist, will be presenting on Parkinson’s disease with a question and answer session to follow.
HCSS offers this service to help support those who are living with Parkinson’s and those who care for Parkinson’s patients.
Juli Krizan, a physical therapist who has been practicing for more than 18 years, providing therapy to patients at Hendricks Regional Health, facilitates the support group.
For more information on the group, call HCSS at 745-4303.
Transportation is available if arranged well in advance.
New participants are always welcome and membership in the senior center is not required.
The Hendricks County Senior Center is at 1201 Sycamore Lane, Danville.
