What's going on at your local library?

— Lego Club will take place at 4 p.m. Nov. 14. Children in grades K through 5 are invited to build with Legos in the children’s activity room. The theme for the program will be Thanksgiving. Registration is required. In honor of International Games Day, which is Nov. 16 the library will be hosting a family game night. This is an open game time for families with children of all ages to come to the library to play a game as a family. There will be some games here in the library or those who attend can bring a favorite of their own. Registration is required so the library staff knows how many refreshments to purchase.

— Build-a-Mania will take place from 2 to 3 p.m. today. Let the imagination run wild and show off creative genius by using the collection of Legos to build alone or work with a friend. No registration is required.

— Great Beginnings: Incredible Infants will take place from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Nov. 4. Great Beginnings is a series of fun, lively programs with stories and activities supporting the five early literacy practices: Reading, playing, talking, singing/rhyming, and Writing. Each age group is geared to match the attention span and developmental level of the children. This is a free program, but registration is required. — Clang! Will take place from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 4. Children and families are invited to a fun music concert featuring the percussion group, Clang! Its musicians play homemade and wacky instruments. Children will have a chance to help out with the music. No registration is required for this fun family program.

— The Affordable Care Act in Indiana will take place at 7 p.m. Nov. 4. Join the library for this seminar on the new laws that will go into effect in 2014. Learn about the options in Indiana and where to find the best health care options. Throughout the presentation there will be opportunities to ask questions.
