ProKids, a training organization helping families with infants and toddlers experiencing developmental delays or disabilities, will host an informational conference on child abuse and neglect that’s open to any interested professional or parent.
The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 24 at The Marten House Hotel, 1801 W. 86th St., Indianapolis.
Nationally-recognized speakers Dr. Abigail Klemsz and Dr. Angela Tomlin will present an in-depth discussion on the physical effects of child abuse and neglect, identifying signs and behaviors associated with abuse and neglect, and discuss strategies and early intervention providers’ roles for supporting young children who have experienced abuse or neglect.
The cost is $75, which includes a continental breakfast and lunch.
