Misty Eyes to open adoption center

CNHI

— Officials with Misty Eyes Animal Shelter & Learning Center in Brownsburg have announced plans to open an adoption center at 640 E. Main St.

Misty Eyes will call the building home while continuing to raise funds for a permanent facility.

Upon opening, dogs and cats will be available for adoption on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. In addition to adoptions, the center will be used for a variety of classes including "Dogs in Pop Culture" and "Cooking for your Dog," volunteer meetings, training, and special projects.

The organization is seeking volunteers to help them remodel the interior of the building as well as those who are interested in volunteering at the center.

Misty Eyes Animal Shelter & Learning Center is currently raising funds to build Hendricks County's only no-kill shelter and learning center. Currently all adoptable animals are in foster homes throughout the county. Once a no-kill shelter is built, they will be able to save many more. The organization pulls animals from Hendricks County Animal Control and takes owner surrenders.
