— Speaker Brian C. Bosma (R-Indianapolis) recently announced the reappointment of Rep. Jeff Thompson (R-Lizton) as the chair of the K-12 Education Subcommittee for Ways and Means.
"I am grateful and honored to be reappointed to this position," Thompson said in a statement. "I look forward to continuing to work toward my goals of making education in Indiana the best it can be and ensuring that Hoosier children have the opportunity for a bright future."
Thompson was elected in 1998 and has served on various committees during his tenure including Education, the Select Committee on Government Reeducation, and Ways and Means.
"I have no doubt that this fiscal leadership team will continue our strong record of balancing the state's budget and causing our state to live within its means," Bosma said. "It is our goal to bring fiscal integrity to our state and to provide an economic climate to spur job creation, and this is the team to do just that."
