Carman plays guitar and mandolin and will be in the next show, along with Darryl Gunyon, Aly Ritter and Christian Axsiom who recently formed a group that, at least for this show, is the only band with No Ampersand in its name. So they call themselves the No Ampersand Band. The band members have very diverse musical tastes as will be reflected in their selections, playing a mix of folk, pop and blues covers.
Other scheduled performers include John Perrault and Brad Uebinger, Skylark and Larry Prather, Dave Cravotta & Friends, and Bed & Breakfast.
John Perrault and Brad Uebinger are both prolific songwriters. Their originals might best be described as “Americana” — folksy stuff that works well on acoustic guitars, sometimes bordering on country. Intriguing lyrics with smooth, lingering melodies are hallmarks of their work.
Dave Cravotta & Friends bring energy and entertainment to the stage. Featuring original and cover acoustic rock, the trio has played together for more than 15 years. Dave’s “friends” are Terry Waggoner and Todd Ferris.
Skylark has been performing music for more than a decade, and has built a repertoire of hundreds of covers and originals. She has played at farmers’ markets, coffee houses, wineries, and festivals. At this show, she’ll be joined by her husband Larry on ukulele, performing a mix of contemporary folk and originals.
Bed & Breakfast is the eclectic duo of Bill and Brenda Sutton who perform Irish pub songs and unusual modern folk/acoustic music from songwriters like Christine Lavin, Jim Stafford, Steve Goodman, and Harry Chapin. The couple also performs a number of original songs.
Admission is $10 at the door for adults and $5 for children ages 16 and younger. The church is at 95 N. Jefferson St., Danville, one block north of the Hendricks County Courthouse.
