Registration is now underway for the Hendricks Regional Health YMCA Cycle-a-thon, which benefits the YMCA’s annual campaign.
The event will include four one-hour rides with different superhero themes on March 8.
The rides are scheduled for 8 a.m. for The Avengers, 9:15 a.m. for the X-men, 10:30 a.m. for the Be Your Own Superhero, and 11:45 a.m. for the Superman and Wonderwoman.
Participants are encouraged to dress up, but it is not required. Riders can choose to cycle for as many hours as they like. The cost is $20 for the first ride and $15 for each additional. Proceeds go to the YMCA’s annual campaign.
The annual campaign raises funds to help children and families in need in the community to afford YMCA memberships, programs, and activities. The YMCA provides the opportunity for anyone to participate in its programs regardless of their ability to pay. Every dollar given to the campaign goes directly to children and families who need assistance.
The rider that raises the most money will get a “pampered package” filled with water misting, cold towels, fans and a T-shirt.
