Clayton-Liberty Township Public Library

— The Clayton Public Library has launched an e-newsletter and Facebook page to keep the community informed of library activities and news. To sign up for the e-newsletter, e-mail to claytonlibnews@tds.net, call 539-2991, or sign up at the library’s front desk. To become a “friend” of the library on Facebook, search Clayton Public Library and click “Like” to get in on the latest community events, library hours, resources, and children’s programs and events.

— Story Time for children ages 3 through those in pre-kindergarten is 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays.

— Little Listeners is a program for 18- to 36-month-old toddlers at 1 p.m. Thursdays.

— A naturalist from the McCloud Nature Center will visit at 4 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month.

— Special guest Belle from “Beauty and the Beast” will host a story time 6 p.m.

Coatesville-Clay Township Public Library

— Storytime is from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. each Wednesday when Mill Creek Schools are in session, for preschoolers ages 3 to 6. Korleen Bledsoe will again serve as children’s programmer. McCloud Nature Park will present a nature program on the first Wednesday of each month.

Danville Public Library

— Friends Jam is 6 to 8:30 p.m. each Thursday at the Train Station in Ellis Park. Friends Jam is a collection of local musicians who perform, primarily using acoustic instruments. They play and sing a variety of music. Donations received go to Friends of the Library and Friends of the Park.

— Teen Advisory Board meets from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 21. Students in grades six through 12 can participate in activities, plan future programs and activities, develop and refine the teen volunteer program, and participate in community service activities. Registration is appreciated, but not required.
