— Letters, Licenses & Ledgers: Digitizing Family Archives will be offered at 10 a.m. Aug. 24. Family documents such as personal letters, diaries, vital records documents, military papers, wills and real estate documents are just as valuable as photographs for passing on family history. Learn to use the library’s flatbed scanner to create digital copies to protect and share these family treasures. Bring an item up to 12x18-inches to try scanning and a flash drive to save the image (optional).
— Brown Bag Travel Club-Peru is 11:30 a.m. Aug. 27. Adults may bring their lunch and enjoy a trip to Peru as they view an episode of the PBS series, Globe Trekker.
— Great Ideas Book Discussion Group is 6:30 p.m. Aug. 27. This is an adult book discussion group for people who like to read and discuss books about important ideas from literature, science, government, culture and religion. Discussion books may be picked up and returned each month at the Customer Service Desk.
— AlphaTykes: P is 10:30 a.m. Aug. 27 for toddlers ages 2 to 3 ½ and their adult caregivers. Each story time will focus on a different letter using stories, rhymes, songs, and a simple craft. After the group session, there will be time to play with toys and interact.

— Young at Heart: A YA Book Club for Adults meets at 1 p.m. Aug. 28. Adults can read young adult books with crossover appeal. Copies of the September discussion title, The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak, will be distributed, along with discussing the latest YA book trends. Registration is requested.
— Hands On: PC Practice Session is 10 a.m. Aug. 29. This is a free adult PC training practice session in the Library Training Lab. Work on different computer programs and learn with a librarian available to assist.
