Best Western Atrea opens in Plainfield
by Charlee Beasor
PLAINFIELD — The newest hotel accommodations here are among only three prototypes in the country.
The newly opened Best Western Atrea is only the third in the country to open and the first in Indiana.
“It’s very upscale,” General Manager Denise Story said. “There’s one in Indiana, one in Bryan, Texas, and one in San Antonio. They are planning to open 100 more next year. We’ve got a full bar, a breakfast area, everything the business traveler would be looking for.”
Story said the hotel at 6109 Cambridge Way was located in Plainfield because of the close proximity to the Indianapolis International Airport.
“The new airport is a great location for flying in and out,” Story said.
Mark Williams, vice president for North American Development for Best Western International, Inc., said the company has upscale properties throughout the country, but none that could really be duplicated and produced.
“We have gorgeous properties, but nothing that people could grab the plans and build on,” he said. “They’re doing very well. This is the third one open and we feel the product will fit the market.”
The Best Western Atrea staff recently celebrated with a grand opening celebration and invited members of the local business community to visit the hotel.
To make reservations or for more information on the hotel, call 1-800-WESTERN or visit the website at www.bestwestern.com.
