Pyramid Players present ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’
INDIANAPOLIS —
Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre’s Pyramid Players present “Jack and the Beanstalk” as the final show in the 2009 Live Theatre For Kids series.
This famous fairy tale centers on Jack, a boy who is sent to town to sell the family cow. On the way, Jack encounters a mysterious man who offers him some magic beans for the animal. Jack agrees to the deal. But when he returns home, his mother scolds him and throws the beans out the window. In the morning, Jack finds a beanstalk has grown and he can’t resist climbing it. High in the clouds in a magical place, Jack discovers fortune and adventure in the home of a giant.
The role of Jack is played by Sam Weber, with Deb Wims as Jack’s mother, Jonah D. Winston as the Giant, and Meghan Walsh as Ogra, the giant’s wife. Scot Greenwell plays the mysterious man who buys the cow, played by Eric Allen Smith and Jamie Westberry. Kate Goetzinger is Miranda, the magic harp.
“Jack and the Beanstalk” is directed by Jeff Stockberger with musical director Michael Hoagland and choreographer Ron Morgan.
The show is on stage now through Nov. 14 at Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre, 9301 N. Michigan Road. The audience has the opportunity to meet the cast of “Jack and the Beanstalk” after each show.
