Cub Scouts retiring flags

Cub Scout Pack 399 will hold a flag retirement ceremony from 9 a.m. to noon July 4 at the Wessley Woods firepit at Plainfield United Methodist Church.

Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts have the unique opportunity to show their patriotism by conducting “Retirement by Fire” ceremonies for the U.S. flag. Anyone with a worn flag to retire is welcome to bring it to this event for a dignified and proper retirement.
