— Preschool Storytime at Decatur will be at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26 and 27. Preschoolers and an adult are invited for stories and activities.

— Holiday Origami Workshop will be at 5 p.m. Nov. 19. Children ages 9 and up are invited to get folding during this program presented by Art With a Heart. They’ll learn basic folds and create their own holiday masterpieces. Call 275-4330 to register.

— Job Center at the Library from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, and 27. In partnership with WorkOne and EmployIndy, the library presents a free service for unemployed or underemployed individuals to receive one-on-one assistance to enhance their employment skills. The session will focus on job search strategies, interviewing skills, resume development, and instruction on basic computer skills. The Job Center is made possible by The Indianapolis Foundation Library Fund and Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.

— Paws to Read at Eagle will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Nov. 6 and 20 and from 4 to 5 p.m. Nov. 18. School-age children who are reluctant readers are invited to read to a non-judgmental registered therapy dog who loves to listen to stories. It’s a great way to improve a child’s reading skills and self-confidence.

— Computer Tips & Tricks: E-Mail Basics will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Nov. 7. Adults are invited to learn the basics of using e-mail, including sending and opening email, sending attachments and organizing email into folders.

— Indiana Authors Fair: Self-Publishing eBooks will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Nov. 7. Adults are invited to learn the basics of self-publishing an eBook during this workshop presented by the Indiana Writers Center. It will include information about services available to distribute eBooks, what technical skills are required, the costs of publishing, how to make eBooks available on eReader devices, and tips about marketing eBooks. This program is presented in connection with the Indiana Authors Fair held Oct. 26 at Central Library.
