— Indiana Authors Fair: Writing Your Life will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 30. Adults are invited to a free workshop presented by the Indiana Writers Center that will provide insight and resolution in their storytelling. This introduction to the memoir will help attendees find the voice to tell their own stories and set them on the writer’s path. This event is held in connection with the Indiana Authors Fair held on October 26 at Central Library.
— Rhyme Time will be at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 21. Babies and toddlers with an adult are invited to rhyme their way to reading. They’ll join Miss Elaine and Express Kids for fun and rhyming through music and sign language.
— Job Center at the Library will be from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 25 and from 3 to 7 p.m. Nov. 20 and 27. In partnership with WorkOne and EmployIndy, the library presents a free service for unemployed or underemployed individuals to receive one-on-one assistance to enhance their employment skills. The session will focus on job search strategies, interviewing skills, resume development, and instruction on basic computer skills. The Job Center is made possible by The Indianapolis Foundation Library Fund and Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.
— Toddler Time at Pike will be at 10:15 a.m. Nov. 19 and 26. Toddlers ages 18 to 36 months and an adult are invited for stories, songs and movement activities that foster a love of books and reading.
— Preschool Storytime at Pike will be at 10:15 a.m. Nov. 21. Preschoolers ages 3 to 5 and an adult are invited for stories, songs and other activities to encourage their love for books and desire to read.
— Open Game Night at Pike will be at 6 p.m. today. Individuals of all ages are invited for an evening of fun by playing games brought in themselves or provided by the Library.
