— Preschool Storytime at Decatur will be at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 19, 20, 26 and 27. Preschoolers and an adult are invited for stories and activities.

— Holiday Origami Workshop will be at 5 p.m. today. Children ages 9 and up are invited to get folding during this program presented by Art With a Heart. They’ll learn basic folds and create their own holiday masterpieces. Call 275-4330 to register.

Eagle Branch

— Job Center at the Library from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 19, 20, 26, and 27. In partnership with WorkOne and EmployIndy, the library presents a free service for unemployed or underemployed individuals to receive one-on-one assistance to enhance their employment skills. The session will focus on job search strategies, interviewing skills, resume development, and instruction on basic computer skills. The Job Center is made possible by The Indianapolis Foundation Library Fund and Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.

— Paws to Read at Eagle will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Nov. 20. School-age children who are reluctant readers are invited to read to a non-judgmental registered therapy dog who loves to listen to stories. It’s a great way to improve a child’s reading skills and self-confidence.

— Computer Tips & Tricks: Open Lab will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Nov. 21. Adults are invited to bring questions or problems relating to using a computer, including applications such as Word or Excel, along with using email or the Internet. One-on-one help will be provided.

— Family Storytime at Eagle will be at 4 p.m. Nov. 25 Families and children of all ages are invited for stories, songs and activities.

— Indiana Authors Fair: Writing Your Life will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 30. Adults are invited to a free workshop presented by the Indiana Writers Center that will provide insight and resolution in their storytelling. This introduction to the memoir will help attendees find the voice to tell their own stories and set them on the writer’s path. This event is held in connection with the Indiana Authors Fair held on October 26 at Central Library.

— Rhyme Time will be at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 21. Babies and toddlers with an adult are invited to rhyme their way to reading. They’ll join Miss Elaine and Express Kids for fun and rhyming through music and sign language.

— Open Game Night at Pike will be at 6 p.m. today. Individuals of all ages are invited for an evening of fun by playing games brought in themselves or provided by the Library.

Wayne Branch

Preschool Stories Galore will be at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 19 and 26. Preschoolers ages 2 to 5 and an adult are invited to have fun listening to stories and singing songs. During the second and fourth programs each month, they’ll also create a craft.

— Baby Steps Storytime at Wayne will be at 11 a.m. Nov. 21. Babies and toddlers up to 2 years old and an adult are invited for stories, popular rhymes, fingerplays and songs.

— Indiana Authors Fair: Self-Publishing eBooks will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 24. Adults are invited to learn the basics of self-publishing an eBook during this workshop presented by the Indiana Writers Center. It will include information about services available to distribute eBooks, what technical skills are required, the costs of publishing, how to make eBooks available on eReader devices, and tips about marketing eBooks. This program is presented in connection with the Indiana Authors Fair held October 26 at Central Library.
