— Guess the Book is all month long in June. Stop by area T and check out a jar of shredded book pages, then guess what literary work it is. Names will be entered in a weekly drawing.
— Great Beginnings: Wonderful Ones is from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. June 24. This is a series of programs with stories and activities supporting the five major early literacy practices of reading, playing, talking, singing/rhyming, and writing. Each is matched to the attention span of the children. The program is free, but registration is required.
— Gallery Hands is 10 a.m. June 28. Support the arts, as hands are needed to help create collaborative art pieces that will be exhibited in The Gallery each month. Materials and instructions provided. The June project will be a colorful paper mache rooster sculpture.
— Smartphone Savvy is from 4 to 6 p.m. June 24. Whether using an Apple, Android, or Windows phone, the library is here to help learn the ropes with users being integrated into using smartphones, chargers, and anything else related to them.
— Teen Library Advisory Board is from 4 to 5 p.m. June 24. This board is for teens interested in giving feedback on library programs and teen materials.
— Great Beginnings: Fabulous Fours and Fives is from 10 to 10:30 a.m. June 25. This is a series of programs with stories and activities geared to match the attention span and developmental level of the children. This program is free, but registration is required.
— Underground Indiana is from 1 to 2 p.m. June 26. After viewing an episode of Indiana Expeditions about fossils and other artifacts, attendees will make their own fossil. This is a free program, but registration is required online or by telephone.
