— One Stroke Painting Class is held at 10 a.m. May 11. The project will be sunflowers on a gallery wrapped canvas. Attendees will learn the proper techniques of loading and blending paint onto the brush and is taught by Marilyn Tentler, level 2 One Stroke Certified Instructor. All supplies are furnished for a fee of $30. Payment will be taken on the day of class only. Registration is required and ends on May 10 at noon.
— Intermediate Word is at 6 p.m. May 13. Develop word-processing skills with shortcuts to creating documents and templates, using clipart and smart art and more. Cost is $15.
— SecondHand Tuesdays $1 Bag Sale is all day May 14. Every second Tuesday February through September, the library shop will feature a $1 bag day where patrons can come and grab a bag or two or more. Bags are provided in the shop so stop in for bargains.
— Book Bites Storytime at Big Apple Bagel is at 10 a.m. May 14. Join for songs, stories, and fun at Big Apple Bagel. Come for some books and stay for some bites. Conveniently located on the north side of town near the movie theater. All ages welcome.
— Intermediate Excel is 6 p.m. May 15. Develop Excel skills by learning how to make calculations easier, put spreadsheets in presentations, add functions to spreadsheets plus more. Cost is $15.
— Round Table Readers meet 6:30 p.m. May 15. This month, all things Eleanor Roosevelt will be discussed. Stop by the front desk for a selection of fiction and non-fiction titles featuring the famous first lady.
— Yield for Yarn is 2:30 p.m. May 20. This group is open to knitters and crocheters. Bring any project being worked on, chat, and get ideas from others.
— Movie Night: “Trouble with the Curve” is 5 p.m. May 23. Enjoy free popcorn while watching the film, which has a run time of 111 minutes. Program is for agest 18+.
