— Introduction to Word is 6 p.m. May 8. Learn the ins and outs of Word. Learn how to create letters, flyers, and bulleted lists, insert pictures, decorative fonts, and more. Cost is $15.
— Introduction to Excel is 6 p.m. May 8. Learn the ins and outs of Excel. Learn how to create graphs, charts, add graphics and colors to spreadsheets, plus the basic simple formula concepts. Cost is $15.
— Perennial Plant Exchange is 6:30 p.m. May 8. Master Gardener Colletta Kosiba returns for the 12th year. Bring six labeled plants. Kosiba will give gardening tips and then conduct the plant exchange. Registration is required.
— Leftovers Sale is 9 to 6 p.m. May 9 and 10. Leftovers aren’t always such a bad thing. Stop in and pick up hidden treasures. Patrons will be cleaning closets and storage and will be selling all kinds of items.
— Appy Hour is 6:30 p.m. May 9. Kick back and join for a discussion on the latest and greatest apps. Instead of a traditional lecture, this will be a chance for patrons to share what apps they adore and what apps they hate. Get personal reviews from other attendees. Librarians will be on hand to facilitate the discussion and demonstrate apps that are discussed. Light (non-alcoholic) refreshments will be provided.
— Mommy and Me: Book Babies Special is 9:30 a.m. May 10. The program will have rhymes, songs, and fun as children ages 6 to 15 months and their adult caregivers celebrate Mother’s Day.
— I Love Mom!: Tots & Tykes Special is 10:30 a.m. May 10. Come celebrate Mother's Day. Join for stories, songs, rhymes and a fun craft. After the 20-minute session, children have time to play and interact together. This program is intended for children between the ages of 15 months and 3.5 years old with their adult caregiver.
— Chess Club meets at 1 p.m. May 11. Calling all kids who love to play chess or want to learn how. Join the club for kids ages 5 through 11 where all ability levels are welcome. Attendees can bring their own chess set if they have one, but the library will have chess sets here for you to use as well.
