What's going on at your Indy libraries in May?

 — Baby Love is 10:15 a.m. May 4 and 11. Babies up to 12 months who are accompanied by an adult are invited to learn songs, baby actions and rhymes, and listen to stories intended just for them.

 — Barks to Books  is from 10:15 a.m. to noon May 4 and 18. Beginning or struggling young readers are invited to read to a patient and non-judgmental therapy dog for a 15-minute session

— Family Storytime  is 7 p.m. May 6 and 13. Families with children of all ages are invited for stories and activities. Activities and books are most appropriate for families with children ages 2 through 8.

 — Toddler Time is 10:15 a.m. May 7 and 14. Toddlers ages 18 to 36 months who are accompanied by an adult are invited for stories, songs and movement activities meant to foster a love of books and reading.

 — Book Club is at 6:30 p.m. May 20. Adults are invited to this monthly book discussion program. The book to be discussed is A Lesson Before Dying by Ernest Gaines.

 — Family Game Night  is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. May 21. Families are invited for a fun-filled night of gaming. Board and card games will be provided.

 — eBook Tinker Station is from 2 to 4 p.m. May 30. Patrons are invited to learn how to select and use eReaders, as well as search and download materials from the library's extensive collection of eBooks, audiobooks and digital music. Patrons can drop in any time during this two-hour visit by the library's traveling eBook Tinker Station, which is staffed by an eReader expert who can answer questions about the equipment and collection. The station provides reliable and unbiased information about  this  growing technology. . The Tinker Helpline at 275-4500 is also available to answer questions.

— Preschool Stories Galore is 10:30 a.m. today. Preschoolers ages 2 through 5 who are accompanied by an adult are invited to listen to stories and sing songs. During the second and fourth programs of each month, they’ll also create a craft.

 — Baby Steps Storytime  is 11 a.m. May 2, 9 and 16. Babies up to 23 months who are accompanied by an adult are invited for stories, songs and activities.

 — PAWS to Read is 11 a.m. May 4. Children who are reluctant readers are invited to read to Gracie or Dandy, Golden Doodles. This activity can help young ones improve their reading skills and self confidence. Participants may sign-up for a 10-minute reading session with Gracie or Dandy. Call 275-4530 to register.

 — First Monday Book Club is at 6:30 p.m. May 6. Adults are invited to this monthly book discussion program. The book to be discussed is The Murder of King Tut: The Plot to Kill the Child King; a Nonfiction

 — Family Story Celebrations is 6:30 p.m. May 6 and 13. Families with children ages 1 through 10 are invited to explore stories with crafts, songs, and activities.

 — Pets: Stories & Safety is 6 p.m. May 7. Children ages 4 through 7 who are accompanied by an adult are invited as Rebecca Warren of the Humane Society shares with them some of the basics of pet ownership. The focus will be on cats and dogs. A dog may be in attendance at this program.

 — Hollywood Goes to the Track: Racing Films is 6 p.m. May 8. People of all ages are invited to celebrate the month of May with a series of classic films related to auto racing. This  evening's  film will be "To Please a Lady," (1950) starring Clark Gable and Barbara Stanwyck.

 — Dog Communications Class is 3:30 p.m. May 11. Adults and families are invited as representatives from the Humane Society explain what dogs may be saying to them. Attendees can learn the tools to "speak dog." A dog will be in attendance.

 — Hollywood Goes to the Track: Racing Films is 6 p.m. May 14. People of all ages are invited to celebrate the month of May with a series of classic films related to auto racing. This evening's film will be "Speedway," (1968) starring Elvis Presley and Nancy Sinatra.

 — Family Movie Days is 2 p.m. May 18. Families are invited to watch a classic family movie based on popular novels on the library's big screen. The movie to be shown is "Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day."

— Hollywood Goes to the Track: Racing Films is 5:45 p.m. May 21. People of all ages are invited to celebrate the month of May with a series of classic films related to auto racing. This evening's film will be "Winning," (1969) starring Paul Newman, Joanne Woodward and Robert Wagner.
