— Preschool Storytime is 10:30 a.m. today and May 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, and 29. Preschoolers who are accompanied by an adult are invited for stories and activities.

— Job Center at the Library is from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. today and May 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, and 29. In partnership with WorkOne and EmployIndy, the library presents this free class for unemployed or
underemployed people to receive one-on-one assistance in an effort to enhance their employment skills. The session will focus on job search strategies, interviewing skills, resume development, and instruction on basic computer skills.
— Stories for Everyone is 4 p.m. May 6, 13, and 20. Families and children of all ages are invited to explore science and language with stories, songs, rhymes and crafts.
— Paws to Read is 5:30 p.m. May 6 and 20. School-aged children who are reluctant readers are invited to read to a registered therapy dog.
— Romance Potluck Book Group is from 4 to 6 p.m. May 15. Adults are invited to this monthly discussion group based on various romantic themes and authors. This month’s theme is Nora Roberts

— Toddler Time is 10:15 a.m. today. Toddlers ages 18 to 36 months who are accompanied by an adult are invited for stories, songs, and movement activities designed to foster a love of books and reading.
— eBook Tinker Station is from 1 to 3 p.m. today. Patrons are invited to learn how to select and use eReaders, as well as search and download materials from the library’s extensive collection of eBooks, audiobooks and digital music. Patrons can drop in any time during this two-hour visit by the library’s traveling eBook Tinker Station, which is staffed by an eReader expert who can answer questions about the equipment and collection. The station provides reliable and unbiased information about this growing technology. The Tinker Helpline at 275-4500 is also available to answer questions.
