— Make Waves: Bubble Mania! is 6 p.m. June 24 for youth ages 11 to 19. Learn the science of bubbles, how to create a double bubble, how to put your hand through a bubble, and how to create monster bubbles with homemade bubble wands. Registration is requested.
— Water Show with Family Time is 1 p.m. June 28. Watch water disappear, reappear, and magically move from one place to another in this wacky, wild free outdoor show. Children should wear swimsuits and bring a towel.
— Make a Splash Toddlers & Teddy Bears is 5:30 p.m. June 28 for children ages 18 months to 3 1/2 years and their adult caregivers. Each week, there will be stories, songs, and rhymes. After a 20-minute group session, there will be time to play with toys and interact. Registration is required.
— One in 16 Million is 6 p.m. June 28. James H. Day was one of 16 million men in uniform during World War II. His nephew, Mark Hamilton, and Mark’s wife, Denise, will present a video slide show using Jim’s own photos accompanied by big band and swing music. Wartime artifacts and home front items and memorabilia will be on display. Registration is required.
— Introduction to Word 2007 is from 6 to 9 p.m. June 28. Learn the basics of word processing, how to type, format, print, save, retrieve, and edit a letter. Cost is $15 and registration is required.
— 4th of July Spectacular is 1:30 p.m. June 29. Children ages 6 to 10 can enjoy patriotic stories, snacks, and crafts. Registration is required.
— Intermediate Word 2007 is from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 30. Learn basic formatting techniques, how to use Word templates, how to modify them for your own use, and how to create your own from scratch. Cost is $15 and registration is required.
— Splash Lagoon: Treasure Island is 10 a.m. June 30 for children ages 3 1/2 through those in kindergarten. Registration is required.
