— Preschool Storytime at Decatur will take place at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 29 and 30. Preschoolers and an adult are invited for stories and activities.

— Basics of Magic will take place at 1 p.m. Oct. 26. Children ages 8 and up are invited to try their hand at learning magic tricks during this fun workshop presented by Don Miller. An adult may accompany the child to help them remember the tricks they learn. Call 275-4330 to register.

— Rhyme Time will take place at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 30. Babies and toddlers with an adult are invited to rhyme their way to reading. Those who attend will join Miss Elaine and Express Kids for fun and rhyming through music and sign language.

— Job Center at the library will take place from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 29 and 30. In partnership with WorkOne and EmployIndy, the library presents a free service for unemployed or underemployed individuals to receive one-on-one assistance to enhance their employment skills. The session will focus on job search strategies, interviewing skills, resume development, and instruction on basic computer skills.

The Job Center is made possible by The Indianapolis Foundation Library Fund and Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.

— Family Halloween Storytime & Craft Party! will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 31. Families and children of all ages are invited to listen to Halloween stories, make a craft and get a treat!
