— Chess Night will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 12 and 26 and Dec. 10. Chess Night is for all ages and no registration is required, just stop by to play. Chess boards and snacks are provided. It is sponsored by the Friends of the Avon-Washington Township Public Library.
— Investigation Destination — Art at Our Fingertips — will take place from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14. Bring your artistic talent and your fingers as the group does fingerprint art. This is for children in grades 1 through 4. Registration is required and beings Nov. 7.
— An Introduction to Reflexology will take place at 10 a.m. Nov. 9. This is for people who enjoy learning something new. Questions about Reflexology will be answered, such as what is it, where does it come from, where are the reflex points and areas, and what does a Reflexology session involve? Join local reflexologist Pam McIntyre for answers to these questions and others. Registration is required.
— PAWS to Read will take place at 6:30 or 7 p.m. Nov. 21. Sing up for 10 minute reading spots and practice reading aloud to Murray, the PAWS to Read dog. All participants will receive a free book. Registration begins Nov. 14.
— Make it Monday will take place from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 25. Children in grades 1 through 4 are invited to join Miss Jo for an hour of crafting fun. Crafts may be messy, so children should wear old clothes. All supplies are provided. Registration is required and begins Nov. 18
— Winter Tree and Shrub Care will take place at 6 p.m. Dec. 4. Have you ever wondered how to give your trees and shrubs the best year-round care? What steps can you take during the winter to ensure your trees and shrubs do well in the summer? How involved should your tree and shrub care be? Join longtime Indiana state conservationist Bob Eddleman for answers to these questions and many more. Registration is required.
