— Tumble Into a Good Book is 10:30 a.m. March 19. Children ages 15 months to 3 1/2 years and their adult caregivers can come for digital story time using Tumblebooks.
— Hands On: Book Lovers’ Sites is 6 p.m. March 19. Join for a tour of three of the best websites for book lovers: Goodreads, Library Thing, and Shelfari. See how to use them in life and have an opportunity to join the sites. Registration is requested.
— Intermediate Excel is 6 p.m. March 20. Develop Excel skills by learning how to make calculations easier, put spreadsheets in your presentations, add functions to your spreadsheets, and more. Cost is $15.
— World Storytelling Day is 5:30 p.m. March 20. This program is for children and will feature storytelling games.
— Round Table Readers is 6:30 p.m. March 20. This month’s discussion will be Cup of Gold: A Life of Sir Henry Morgan, Buccaneer, with Occasional Reference to History by John Steinbeck. Copies are available for check-out at the front desk.
— Movie Night: Life of Pi is 5 p.m. March 21. Come for free popcorn and a viewing of “Life of Pi,” run time 127 minutes. The program is for patrons ages 18 and older.
— AlphaTykes: F is 10:30 a.m. March 22. This new program focuses on the alphabet. Each story time will focus on a different letter for stories, rhymes, songs, and a craft. It is intended for children ages 2 to 3 1/2 and their adult caregivers. After the group session, there will be time to play with toys and interact.
— Introduction to PowerPoint is 6 p.m. March 25. Learn to make professional-looking presentations in just minutes by adding video, photographs, and audio files to a PowerPoint presentation. Basic beginner skills are also included. Cost is $15.
— Brown Bag Travel Club-Winter at Lake Tahoe meets at 11:30 a.m. March 26. Bring a lunch and take a photographic journey with BPL staff member Larry Whitmor as he recounts a recent trip to Lake Tahoe.
