Voting locations need to be verified

Hendricks County voters are being asked to confirm their voting location before heading to the polls on May 8.

The last countywide election held in Hendricks County was in 2010. Many changes have happened since then.

In 2011, just a handful of municipalities had elections and those locations were combined into “zones.” Washington Township voters were directed to specific locations for a school referendum.

Also in 2011, many changes were made in regards to redistricting and reprecincting. Any time a change in location occurs, a notice is sent to the voter.

In preparedness, every voter -- but especially those in Avon, Brownsburg, Danville, and Plainfield -- is asked to visit the website www.indianavoters.com to confirm their voting site. Voters may also use a feature on the website to view candidate names on their ballot.

At the website they can confirm their registration and voting location.

Anyone who does not have web access and wants to confirm their voting location, may call 745-9313 prior to Election Day.
