Chris Sherman is a resident of Plainfield.


Dave Jackson Ñ R


Dave Jackson is the Republican nominee and candidate for Avon Town Council Ð Ward 1.

A life-long Hoosier and Republican, he is originally from Highland (Lake County). He has been married for 15 years to Mary and has lived in Avon for 13 years. They have three daughters: Claire, Colette, and Caroline (all attend Avon schools). They attend St. Susanna Church in Plainfield.

Jackson graduated from Wabash College in 1987 (political science major). He worked 23 years with the Reynolds Packaging Group as a technical lead.

He served on the Avon Town Council as vice president from 2003 to Ô06; was Republican Precinct Committeeman for the past eight years; is a board member for the Hendricks County Trail Development Association which is developing the B&O Trail in Hendricks County; is secretary for the Stratford of Avon HomeownersÕ Association; and was a past volunteer for numerous organizations such as Project ANGEL, Habitat for Humanity, Special Olympics, and Junior Achievement.


Beverley A. Austin Ñ R


Increased cooperation between agencies, developing more partnerships, increasing the quality of life Ñ these are all the things that Beverley Austin vowed to do in her first term on the Avon Town Council. In her first term, Beverley has seen great strides, including the partnership with the YMCA and Hendricks Regional Health to bring a first-class recreation center to town. She has pushed for funding to build the Ronald Reagan Bridge and for significant road improvements including safer and greener roundabouts, intersection upgrades, traffic calming devices in neighborhoods, and a bigger and better park system. She has helped oversee significant cost savings that will eventually lead to more efficiencies and a better quality of life for residents. But sheÕs not finished serving.
