— The new Hendricks Regional Health YMCA is set to open the summer of 2011, but charter memberships are being accepted now.
YMCA charter membership is the most distinctive level of membership available at the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis. Charter members have the rare opportunity to open a new facility and to create a lasting legacy of health and wellness in their community. In addition, charter members may use their membership at any other YMCA of Greater Indianapolis branches prior to the opening of the HRH YMCA.
To become a charter member, individuals and families will have to commit in advance to one year of the YMCA facility membership that is paid in full and pledge a tax-deductible gift of support (minimum of $1,500) to the construction of the new HRH YMCA and ongoing programs offered to the community.
In partnership with HRH and other community partners, the YMCA will be the centerpiece of the new Healthy Lifestyle Village. The 100,000 square-foot facility will be at 301 Satori Parkway in Avon and will serve the entire Hendricks County and westside of Indianapolis community. It will be a unique place where people can learn and improve their health and quality of life.
Highlights of the new facility include indoor lap and recreational pools; an 8,000 square-foot state-of-the-art fitness center; a gymnasium; an aerobics/dance room; a family prime time center; a teen center; a child watch center; an indoor climbing wall; and an outdoor education center that includes walking trails.
