Cookies available for purchase are Samoas, vanilla cookies covered with caramel, rolled in toasted coconut, and striped with chocolate; Trefoils, shortbread; Thin Mints, a thin wafer covered with chocolate coating and natural peppermint; Tagalongs, topped with peanut butter and covered with chocolate coating; Do-Si-Dos, oatmeal cookies with peanut butter filling; Thank U Berry Munch, hearty cookies with cranberries and white fudge chips; and Dulce de Leche, inspired by Latin America these cookies are bite-size with caramel chips.
The Thank U Berry Much, Trefoils, Do-Si-Dos, and Dulce de Leche cookies have zero hydrogenated oils.
Each box of cookies is $3.50. The funds are split up for various projects — $.25 to assistance grants, $.55 for troop proceeds, $.75 for camping services, $.89 for cookie costs, and $1.285 for program services for troops.
Anyone who would like to see U.S. troops deployed overseas from Camp Atterbury get some Girl Scout cookies can participate in “Operation: Cookie Drop.”
During ordering, customers may donate a box of cookies to the military. Scouts will also be accepting donations for cookies during booth sale time.
