Wagner Anniversary
Albert F. and Miriam R. (Farley) Wagner were married June 27, 1948, at the old wooden Speedway Christian Church. The couple will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary and Al Wagner’s 80th birthday on June 27.
Both Al and Miriam were born in Indianapolis, raised in the Speedway area, and now residing in Brownsburg. They have five children: Scott, 55, who resides in Florida; Jim, 54, who resides in Brownsburg; Brenda, 52, who resides in Florida; Larry, 47, who resides in Tennessee; and Steve, 43, who resides in Danville.
The Wagners also have seven granddaughters, four grandsons, and six great-grandchildren.
Mr. Wagner is a retired builder and belongs to the Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite. He is a past distinguished president of the Speedway Optimist Club and he formed the Avon Optimist Club. He also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Mrs. Wagner is a homemaker and is the past president of the Quantico, Va., Toastmistress Club.
