CarDon & Associates announces plans for Plainfield campus

PLAINFIELD — CarDon & Associates, a Bloomington-based provider of senior housing, rehabilitation, and long-term care services, recently announced it will partner with WS Property Group to build a senior living community in Plainfield.

Eric C. Stolberg is the president of WS Property Group, a real estate development company based in Bloomington.

“We are pleased to be the development partner for this quality senior housing operator and look forward to working with the CarDon team to bring a state-of-the-art community to Plainfield,” Stolberg said in a press release.

CarDon’s newest development project will be on a 38-acre parcel of land at the intersection of Reeves Road and State Road 267. The project will offer a unique design, planned to meet the changing lifestyle demands and trends of senior living, including assisted living, rehabilitation, long-term care, and dementia care.

The company has closed on the property and will build the campus in several phases, with an opening expected in the summer of 2015. The first phase of construction will consist of 104 skilled nursing beds and 36 assisted living apartments, with future phases including independent living apartments and garden homes.

Dr. Stephen Moore, CEO of CarDon & Associates, said, “Our company has a long-standing tradition of providing Indiana seniors with quality care and services. This development represents our company’s commitment not only to Indiana’s seniors, but specifically to the Plainfield community and surrounding areas. It will give seniors and their families access to a high quality senior living community.”

Chief Development Officer for CarDon & Associates, Scott Rigney, said the construction will take about 12 months to complete.

“It will feature private suites along with state-of-the-art physical, speech, and occupational therapy facilities,” he said. “The new design will provide a home-like atmosphere, and will showcase outstanding amenities including dining venues, theatre, and activities spaces, a beauty/barber shop, and a library.”

CarDon & Associates has been developing and managing senior living communities throughout Indiana. The company operates and manages 17 communities on 14 campuses that offer skilled nursing and rehabilitation services, long-term care, memory care, assisted living, senior housing apartments, and garden homes.
