Hurst named Sun Trust CEO for triad region

AVON — Banking veteran of 17 years, Dennis Hurst was recently named President and CEO of Sun Trust’s Triad Region.

Hurst will be responsible for delivering all of Sun Trust’s products and services including investment banking and capital market capabilities through Sun Trust’s Robinson Humphrey.

Reporting to the Carolinas Division President, David Stevens, Hurst will relocate to Greensboro, NC with wife Hollie and their three children.

“Dennis has proven success in supporting the complex needs of commercial and business banking clients, helping them reach key growth and operations goals,” said Stevens.

“His business expertise and deep community involvement demonstrate he will be a strong leader in the region.”

Hurst is a graduate of Avon High School and Campbell University.
