Gordmans hosts job fair for new distribution center

AVON — Gordmans is hiring for its new distribution center in Clayton.

Job fairs are set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 16 at Work One in Plainfield, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 30 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 31 at the distribution center.

The new warehouse at 1801 Innovation Boulevard is offering full benefits and advancement opportunities. More than 100 positions are available. Hours are 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

The Gordmans store opened in Avon this past fall and has continued to make Hendricks County home by adding a 545,000-square-foot distribution center in Clayton, allowing them to service more than 200 stores.

Ultimately, the distribution center is on track to provide about 250 new jobs within three years of opening.

Gordmans stores carry an assortment of name brand apparel for all ages, accessories, footwear, gifts, designer fragrances, fashion jewelry, accent furniture, home fashions, and more.
