Lt. Gov. Sue Ellspermann and Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard will join the Indianapolis chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO-Indy) for the Visionary Awards Luncheon.
The event is 11:15 a.m. Dec. 17 at the JW Marriott Hotel, 10 S. West St., Indianapolis. There will be an opportunity to network while visiting exhibits from 10 to 11:15 a.m., prior to the luncheon.
Four people will be honored for their achievements as business owners and leaders in the community in the categories of Avatar of the Year, Indianapolis Choice, Member of the Year, and Woman Business Owner of the Year.
Award presenters will include Jennifer Pope Baker, executive director of the Women’s Fund of Central Indiana; Diane Cruz Burke, assistant general counsel for Eli Lilly and Company; Marianne Glick, president and owner of GlickArt; and Debbie Hearn Smith, CEO of Girl Scouts of Central Indiana.
Ellspermann will highlight the accomplishments of women business owners in the state. Ballard will present a city welcome focusing on the impact of women business owners.
Ericka Flye with WRTV 6 and Gerry Dick with “Inside INdiana Business” will serve as emcees.
