Grant Stewart of Advantage Financial Group attended the NASDAQ Stock Exchange closing bell on March 1 to help celebrate a recent Real Estate Trust merger.
Stewart, an independent advisor for 28 years in Greencastle, who is also the financial advisor for North Salem State Bank and its customers, specializes in allocating lump-sum distribution, developing sound retirement strategies, and estate planning for individuals, small business owners, and professionals in and near retirement.
American Realty Capital Properties chose Stewart to be part of the closing ceremony on Friday as the company celebrates its acquisition of a non-traded real estate investment trust that has a similar name, “American Realty Capital Trust III.”
Stewart uses real estate as a means to offer diversification for his clients, providing them with an asset class that is uncorrelated to stocks and bonds.
Today’s reality of near-zero U.S. savings interest rates have forced investors to look for alternative investment to generate income.
“Advisors like Grant helped create the capital that built the company,” Nick Schorsch, CFO of American Realty Capital Trust III, said in a press release.
Stewart is a graduate and member of the Indiana Estate Planners Association and has received numerous industry awards for service excellence and leadership. He is securities licensed in Indiana and 14 other states. Stewart holds a Series 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses, as well as a State of Indiana Life, Accident & Health Insurance License.
His office for the last 28 years has been at 101 E. Washington St., Greencastle.
