---- — Three upcoming conferences hosted by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce will focus on aspects of human resources. In March, employers can learn more about worker’s compensation and how to supervise and manage people, as well as take a deeper look at employment law.
Indiana Worker’s Compensation Conference will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 4 at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis. Attendees will learn what it means to run a high performing worker’s compensation program, have an overview of anatomy and discover how to avoid worker’s compensation retaliation claims.
During an interactive session, an insurance broker and attorney will walk attendees through the administrative and legal aspects of a claim. Cost of the conference is $299 for Indiana Chamber member companies; $329 for non-members.
Supervising and Managing People Workshop will be from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 6 and 7 at the Indiana Chamber Conference Center in downtown Indianapolis. The two-day workshop covers a number of important tools, including: how to be a more effective leader; how to deal with employee problems and problem employees; how to motivate employees; and four uncommon but critical hats that managers have to wear.
Cost of the workshop is $599 for Indiana Chamber members; $699 for non-members.
The 20th Annual Employment Law Seminar will be from 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis. Many topics fall under the broad umbrella that is employment law – anything from age discrimination to organized labor to Occupational Health and Safety Administration regulations, and much more.
