Avon author spotlights friendship in book

The Rev. Philip Rigdon of Avon has announced the release of his new novel “Under the Bridge to the Seeds of Light,” a story about five friends sacrificing themselves and doing what they can to find the missing Douglas Jenski.

In “Under the Bridge to the Seeds of Light,” someone or something under the bridge took Douglas Jenski. Without a plan and unsure of what they will find, Rick, his sister Edie, and friends Simón, Ahn, and Ox venture under the bridge after their missing friend. The young friends discover a place much like home, and yet completely different at its essence.

In the search, each friend learns more about themselves and what they are truly capable of, which turns out to be more than they could have ever imagined. When the rest of the group is crushed and dispirited, will one friend find the strength to do what is necessary to prevent certain doom?

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting the websites at barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.

Rigdon is a pastor and teacher. He has lived and ministered in Mexico and the Republic of China, teaching in Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. His teaching experience in the United States includes junior high social studies and adult education. He currently serves as pastor of Our Shepherd Lutheran Church and School in Avon.
