Circus partners with Habitat for Humanity

Hendricks County Flyer

---- — Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus returns to Indy on Dec. 5 with a special community event planned.

The circus will join forces with Habitat for Humanity to build a mini-barn at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

VIP activities begin at 10:30 a.m. when a select group of builders, appropriately called the Tiger Team from Habitat for Humanity, visit with Mable, one of the circus elephants, and watch her contribute to the build with the use of her trunk to paint the door of the mini-barn while the rest of the herd looks on.

The build will continue for the public to watch from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the Pennsylvania Street Plaza where the Tiger Team is paired up with Clown Alley. The King Charles Troupe will add to the excitement at 11:15 a.m. with a spirited and fiery competition of basketball with the next generation of whirling unicyclists for all to see on the plaza while the build goes on behind them.

All in the community are invited to support Habitat for Humanity with a monetary donation of $10 or more and in return receive a complimentary ticket to opening night of the circus.

The Greatest Show On Earth opens Dec. 5 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse and plays through Dec. 8.
