Rotary introduces Danville Rotary Corp

Hendricks County Flyer

---- — The Danville Rotary Club took a break from its normal luncheon meeting and held a special guest night at Twin Bridges Banquet Facility. More than 30 guests joined club members, along with District Governor Dottie Hancock and District Membership Chair Gary Frey.

Doug Boles, president of Indianapolis Motor Speedway and a native of Danville, was the guest speaker. Boles is living his childhood dream and shared stories about his career path leading to running the facility that hosts the Greatest Spectacle in Racing.

The club also introduced the Danville Rotary Corp. Rotary Corp is designed for individuals wishing to share in the Rotary mission of community service, but who can’t commit to a weekly luncheon meeting. The group will hold an organizational meeting Dec. 3 to determine their meeting frequency, dues structure, and plan of action. Rotary members will be in attendance to help guide and support the development of the group for the further benefit of the community.

Residents interested in learning more about the Rotary Corp or membership in the Danville Rotary Club may call Neal Pearcy at 476-3534 or e-mail to danvilleinrotary@gmail.com.
