Avon police searching for armed robber

Avon police officers were dispatched to the Marathon Gas Station at 7065 E. U.S. 36 on a report of an armed robbery that occurred about 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

The suspect is described as a white male 25-30 years old, approximately 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10, and wearing a gray hoodie with the hood up and sunglasses. He was last seen heading eastbound on foot. The suspect used a handgun in the robbery. The victim was not sure if the handgun was a revolver or semi-automatic.

Officers are currently searching for the suspect and detectives are interviewing the victim and witnesses.
