Police chase ends in Brownsburg

Police are investigating a high-speed car chase that ended in a crash, which may be tied to a fatal shooting on Indianapolis' southside.

Two people in an SUV reportedly led police on a high-speed chase Wednesday morning. Officials are saying it began near 38th Street and Lafayette Road late Wednesday morning, continued onto Interstate 65, and eventually ended with a crash at 56th Street and Northfield Drive in Brownsburg. Multiple vehicles are reportedly involved.

The passengers in the SUV are believed to be connected with a fatal shooting that happened earlier in the morning at Southport. A man was reportedly shot and killed in his driveway as he was leaving for work. A nearby elementary school was put on lockdown as a precaution.
