— Plainfield Community Middle School’s science, social studies, and interdisciplinary teams were state champions in the 2013 Junior Academic Super Bowl Championships, making this 14 state championships earned since entering the annual competition in 1992. The Academic Super Bowl competitions are run by the Indiana Association of School Principals and sponsored by Purdue University. More than 220 middle schools with over 3,800 students competed in this year’s competition. PCMS has won in all five categories: math, science, social studies, English, and interdisciplinary.
