Duke Energy names new Indiana president

PLAINFIELD — Officials with Duke Energy have announced that Jim Stanley, the company’s vice president of Midwest field operations, will lead its Indiana utility as president.

Current Duke Energy Indiana President Kay Pashos will be coordinating state regulatory strategy for Duke Energy’s electric and gas business system-wide. The transition is effective Nov. 6.

Stanley, 51, a Tennessee native who began working for the company’s Indiana operations in 1977, will be responsible for Indiana regulatory and legislative strategy and affairs, economic development, and customer and community relations for the electric utility. He will also share responsibility for ratemaking.

Stanley has held a variety of roles in accounting, human resources, and field management. The Dyersburg, Tenn., native graduated from Ball State University with a degree in accounting and a minor in economics. He and his wife, Janet, have a daughter and two sons.
