AVON — A man here was ambushed and handcuffed in his garage by two armed men.
The incident occurred at about 5 a.m. when the man went to his workshop before going to work.
Officials with the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Department said a man approached the victim and a scuffle ensued until the second man put a gun to the homeowner’s head.
The homeowner was then taken behind the garage and handcuffed. The men demanded money, but the homeowner didn’t have any so the suspects took him inside his house to get his wallet.
The men then took the homeowners pickup truck and other items. Officials said the man was not injured, but was punched during the altercation.
